I Can Only Be Me Around You (PT 2)

Nicki couldn't see, she could bearly hear. She was so scared. So many thoughts came through her head she blamed her self for SB getting shot. She couldn't live with out him. It wouldn't be the same.
(Nickis POV)
I can't see, I can only hear people around me. But they sound so far away. I wanna be with Safaree. I love him. Wait, why am I moving? What's going on?
(No POV)
"Hi I'm looking for Safaree Samuels" Mama Carol asked the nurse at the front desk of Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
"Sure Mam' room 216, second floor". Mama Carol went straight to the elevators. She went to the second floor and to the left. She realized the numbers on the doors were too high so she started to turn around. Then she heard a Walkie-Talkie. She didn't pay much attention until she heard her daughters name. "Code red, code red! Onika Maraj room 218." Everything was moving too fast, she didn't know what to do. Alot of doctors and nurses rushing into the room and as she tried to go in they immediately pushed her out. She went next door to Safaree's room. She couldn't help but cry.
(Mama Carols POV)
Why them? What went wrong? Why didn't I know Nicki was checked in too? My babies! I can't believe this. There's nothing I can do. She began to cry hysterically and pray.
(No POV)
Mama Carols sobs were interrupted by Safaree coughing. He looked at her, he tried to talk but nothing came out. He looked down and remembered he got shot. He knew him and Chris weren't cool. But shooting him? That was over the line and he wanted pay back. SB started looking around as tears came out of his eyes. Mama Carol noticed and stood up. "She's here baby, don't worry" she said passing him water. 'Who is she talking about' he thought to himself. He just looked at her confused then she realized he didn't know what she was talking about. After drinking the water he spoke because his throat was no longer dry. "Who are you?" he asked. She knew this would be a long night, how could she explain to ger daughter that the love of her life lost his memory and wouldnt remember her at all?
