Two Paths Recrossed (Part 3)

SB didn't want to talk to her. He didn't even want to be looking at her. He looked over at his mother and rolled his eyes. Then he looked back to Nicki without saying a word. Nicki noticed how he was acting and she walked over to his mother to say goodbye. She whispered, 'I love you Ma, i'll call you later" then started to walk to the door when she heard SB laugh. "Oh you love her?" Nicki stopped in her tracks but didn't turn around. "So now you love her Onika answer me." Nicki stayed shut. SB got up and walked behind her. She turned around and he saw the tears in her eyes as she talked. "Yes I love her and she doesn't run away when I say it". Nicki knew that was a low blow but it hurt and he was being a kid about it.
*FLASHBACK*
"I love you Safaree"
When he heard these words he froze momentarily. Then he started to pack his stuff. Nicki was confused but once he never came back she understood that he didn't love her back.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
It hurt her that he didn't say a word. He just left for 4 months, no calls or text. NOTHING. And now here he is in her face still mad about something that she doesn't know about. He looked into her watery eyes and grabbed her face. She thought he was going to hurt her because of the anger in his eyes. 'Why isn't Mama gonna stop him?' She thought as she watched her leave the room. Nickis eyes starred straight into his then to her surprise he pulled her into a long kiss. No words after he just picked up his keys and left. Nicki sat on the couch shocked. She missed him and he's finally back and on her birthday too.
"Can you make him go to the movies with me today?"
"Onika....you wanna spend your 18th birthday in the movie theatre? I think not"
"I just wanna spend it with Safaree" Nicki said blushing.
(SB POV)
Why would I kiss her? I know we can't ever be together! I can't hurt her that way. I gotta tell her but I'm so scared. I shouldn't have come back if I wasn't ready. She's gonna hate me! I just need to stay away. The least I can do it say goodbye the right way. I'll throw her a little party with all our high school friends and while she's having too much fun to notice I'll sneak out.
(4 hours later)
"Hi"
"Hey Faree what's up?"
"Put on your dress and come to my moms house in 30 minutes"
"I don't have a dress"
"It's on your couch, see you in 30"
Nicki was confused she went down on saw a beautiful gold dress with gold shoes to match. "This nigga always forgets my jewelry!" She said out loud then smiled at the gold necklace on the table with a note 'thought I forgot? ICY NIGGA' she laughed while grabbing everything.
(Mama Samuels house)
Nicki pulled up 20 minutes late just like SB knew she would. When she got there she had to use the bathroom but her dress was too tight she knew she wouldn't make it up the stairs in time.
"Faree I have to pee!"
"Nic you know where the bathroom is, go your not a guest."
"Carry me, I won't make it with this tight ass dress you picked out"
"Okay get on my back" she gave him the death glare as he laughed and picked her up to take her to the bathroom. He pushed the fact that he had to tell her he was sick to the back of his mind. He was focused on enjoying the time they had left. To Be Continued...

Two Paths Recrossed (Part 2)

(Nickis POV)
How could I be so dumb? How could I believe all the lies? Good thing he didn't notice me. I hate him so much. I can't cry forever, I won't do it. Tomorrow is my birthday, I can't wait. Damn I don't even have plans. This sucks. I can't believe I'm about to call my mom and tell her this.
(Somewhere in Virginia)
"Yeah ma I'm coming home" he said smiling into the phone. His mother couldn't believe it it's been 4 months since she's seen him. He was her only son and she missed him.
"Okay come straight here baby, no stops!"
"I'm in Virginia I should be there tomorrow around 3"
"Just in time!!!"
"Wait for what?"
Then she hung up. He kept thinking what would he be on time for? But then he brushed it off and pulled into a hotel parking lot to get some sleep.
When he woke up it was 7 and he showered and was out by 8. He got there exactly at 3 like he said he was so happy to see his mother. But she didn't plan on having him stay there.
(Nickis POV 1 hour earlier)
"Okay I'll go, what's so important?" I swear if I don't tell this lady yet i'll never be left alone!
"Can I come over at 3?"
"Yes Onika perfect! I love you" then she hung up. She didn't even let me say I love her too! But it's 2 now and her house is about 20 minutes away. It's my birthday and I don't even have a pretty outfit or anyone to spend this day with. Oh well I guess I can spend it with my second mother! I decided on black leggings, a pink sweater and some long boots. I wore my natural hair down with no make up. I looked at the clock and it was already 2:30 so I was on my way out. When I pulled up I saw a cute manly car, I know mama ain't get no man! I laughed to myself while I use my key to get into the house.... And there he was.

SB sat on the couch asleep and Nicki stood in the door way admiring him. She hasn't seen him since the day she told him she loved him. He walked out the door never looking back. Nobody knew where he went and she finally moved on. But now seeing him is making her fall all over again. She stood there starring at him until she saw his mother smiling at her. "Hi mom" Nicki whispered trying not to wake him. "Happy birthday baby" Nicki smiled because she remembered. SB coming back was the best gift ever. They started to walk into the kitchen until they noticed SB waking up. Nicki went to the bathroom while SB talked to his mother.
"I have to go"
"What? Why!"
"It feels like she's here, I can smell her perfume, her shampoo" SB said getting emotional. Nicki could hear everything. She walked out and stood in front of him. He stared at her like he did when the first met......" Hi Safaree..." (To be continued)

Two paths Recrossed (Part 1)

*FAST FORWARD 4 MONTHS*
"WAKEEEE UPPPPPPP" Nicki screamed jumping on the bed.
"Babbbyyyyyyy wakeeee uppppp" Nicki said plopping on the bed. She got up to walk out the room when she heard him move on the bed to sit up. Nicki screeched running to jump on him.
*meanwhile at an apartment in Florida*
He woke up tired as usual then he got a phone call. He was indecisive but ended up picking up after the 6th ring.
"Yes mom?"
"Are you still sitting around!?! Get up and go out!"
"No leave me alone" he said hanging up the phone going to lay back down.
He hated how she's been acting these last few months. He was fine and was tired of telling her that. Deep inside he knew he was still hurting but he didn't know why. It's been months and he was done crying over her. It was time to move on! It would take a while but he was determined. Today was December 7th and he was going home. He didn't call his mother, he decided to surprise her. He cleaned himself up and started to clean up his hotel. He bought a car so he didn't have to worry about booking a flight.
*back in queens*
"Wanna go shopping?" She asked after they ate breakfast.
"No you always wanna shop Nicki, why can't we just chill?"
(Nickis POV)
Whatever. He never wants to do ANYTHING. Fuck it. I'll just go with Sierra. But damn its been a minute since I've talked to her. She'll think I'm using her and won't want to go.fuck it ill ask anyway.
'Shopping today?'
(No POV)
Nicki was surprised that she answered so quickly.
'Sure my house at 12!'
Nicki went upstairs and started to get ready. Then she began to think about how long it's been since she seen Sierra. Sierra had a baby, Nicki never judged she loved Aubrey, he was just the cutest. Only thing she didn't like was that she never met his dad. They met at a club and that's all Nicki knew about him. Oh and his first name. Aubrey.
About 30 minutes later she finally got dressed and was on her way out the door. When she got to Sierras it was in perfect shape everything looked amazing. Sierra had a big picture of her with Nicki and SB from high school. This caught Nicki's attention but she just kept walking into the house. She picked up Aubrey, he looked so much like somebody she knew but she couldn't put it all together.
*meanwhile in Florida*
It was 12 and he still wasn't sure if he wanted to go home. It was a long drive but he decided he would go. He couldn't stop thinking. He decided to blast some music for the ride. He only stopped for gas, not even food. He wanted to see his mother and to feel like everything was normal again. He stopped for gas and seen someone he didn't expect to see.
(Meanwhile in Queens Center Mall)
"Get this! You should really get this!" Nicki looked at the outfit Sierra was holding and made a face causing them both to laugh. Ever since Nicki saw that picture she wasn't feeling the same. She didn't know what was wrong with her but something was wrong.
*meanwhile at Nickis house*
He was laying in bed and his phone kept going off. He didn't know living a double life would be this complicated. When Nicki left she didn't say where she was going he didn't really mind he was just happy to get some sleep.
(Back to Queens Center Mall)
"Is his father in his life?" Nicki asked before taking a bite of her chicken. They were sitting at a table in the back if the food court. Sierra was proud to say she was still in a relationship with her babies father. Her and Nicki laughed and talked some more as Sierra texted someone.
' Pick me and the baby up, I'm ready to go home babe '
' okay see you soon '
(On the road)
He was making it home in record time. No speed limits mattered to him. Honestly nothing did anymore. He was tired but didn't want to pull over. He wasn't ready to stop. After two hours it was now 5 and he had to stop.
(Queens Center Mall)
Nicki and Sierra sat waiting for 2 hours just talking and laughing. They both talked about their relationships. Nicki was glad they had this day out, Sierra was one of her best friends! She missed her. As Nicki was talking she saw her friends face light up and baby Aubrey yelling 'daddy'. Nicki smiled at how happy they both got.
"Hey lil man" he said and Nickis smile quickly faded...... To Be Continued

Was it Worth It?

NICKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" She heard come from upstairs, she knew Safaree would have a hangover and would need her help. She just really didn't wanna help him. She was still mad and he acted as if nothing happened. Nicki flipped the bacon then went upstairs to see why he called. He told her he had a headache and didn't feel good. She couldn't resist smiling because of how cute he was acting. She handed him a Tylenol and went to walk out the room then SB said, "thanks we'll talk later" exactly what she didn't want to hear. She wanted answers but she knew she had to answer some questions too. Nicki was indecisive, would she lie or tell him the truth? By the time SB came downstairs for breakfast she already made up her mind.
"Wanna watch a movie? Or are you going out again?" She asked with attitude with the last part. He looked up at her "If I see you texting Drake again then yeah I'm leaving," he shook his head, "Fuck imma sit in the same room with you for while Anoter nigga making you smile?" Nicki was quiet for a minute then she started to get mad. "Fuck you Safaree cause I'm not the one with bitches in my lap at some club" He was calmer then she expected.
"What were you even doing at that club?"
"What were you doing at that club?"
They stared into eachothers eyes and SB started to laugh. About a minute later Nicki started to laugh to as they talked about their night.
"I did fuck her up didn't I" Nicki said in between laughs. They both stopped laughing at the same time then Nicki took his hands, "I love you Safaree".

Lets Try To Move On

He was deep into his thoughts when a girl a little younger than him walked up to the bar and ordered a drink. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. She thought SB was cute so she decided to talk to him.
"Hi, my name is Justina. What's yours?"
SB finished his drink then looked her over again. "My name is SB" he said with a smile. After a while of conversing she found herself sitting in SB's lap. He didn't mind, he was enjoying himself.
"WTF Safaree?" He rolled his eyes he knew it was Nicki, only she called him that. He ignored her and started to sip his drink again. She hit it out of his hand and it landed on Justina. Justina was instantly mad, "who the fuck are you! Why would you do that?" Nicki laughed and said "Don't act like you spent money on that whack ass dress" then turned back to SB.
(Drakes POV)
Who the hell is this guy? Nicki has a boyfriend? I never saw her jealous, this is sexy. I just wish it was because of me! Let me just grab her and go. Before I could pull her arm that Justina girl pulled her hair and pulled her down to the floor. Nicki pulled her down with her and began to punch her in the face.
(No POV)
SB knew how Nicki was and she wouldn't stop unless it was him who stopped her so he shook his head at Drake trying to calm Nicki down. He walked over and picked her up off of Justina and carried her to his car. Justina ran behind him yelling, "Are you seriously taking her side? Your not even gonna see if I'm okay?" Nicki didn't give SB a chance to answer before she responded to Justina. "Say something else to him and you won't be alright bitch" SB put Nicki in the car and didn't say a word to her. Just shook his head.
"WTF you mad about? You the one that got bird ass bitches..."
"Onika shut up"
Nicki rolled her eyes and kept talking, "so you left to come here with her? Who is she? When did you meet her?"
"Who are you to question me?"
(Nickis POV)
How could he do this to me? WTF? That bitch is so lucky! Thank God Drake bought me here or....... OMG ! Drake. He must be pissed. I was going to get out the car but I saw Drake already walking to SB's window. Wait what is he doing!?
(No POV)
Drake opened SB's door and punched him in his face. Nobody knew why, not even Drake knew but it was too late to take it back. SB was so drunk he could bearly process what was going on so when he fought back he didn't care how bad he hurt him. Nicki couldn't stop it herself but she sure was trying then finally when SB pinned Drake down to stop him from hitting him Nicki got his attention.
"Drake WTF is wrong with you? Are you serious? What were you thinking!"
"Nicki I thought he was going to hurt you!"
"Yeah whatever" Nicki said helping SB up. When Drake hit him the first time he busted his lip. Nicki put a drunk SB in the passenger seat and drove home never looking back. SB was whispering something and she was listening closely as he spoke. "She's mine, I love her, I want her" Nicki figured he was talking about the girl from the club and a few tears fell from her eyes.
When they got home she helped SB into the house and upstairs. Before she let him lay down she cleaned up his face and helped him out of his clothes. "He's like a big baby when he's drunk" Nicki whispered to herself while shaking her head. She knew that they would have a long talk tomorrow, one she really didn't want to have.

Where This Love Could End Up

(Nics POV)
I really need to go spend time with Drake. I mean SB has had my attention for a while and I think he's better now. In the hospital I think the fact that I couldn't have him made me want him. But now I want Drake. I think. Everytime I see SB I wanna kiss him. But I still wanna see where this thing can go with Drake. He's cute and a gentleman, I don't know if I want him but he doesn't seem to be giving up. I can't tell SB about him. I know he's my bestfriend but what he doesn't know won't hurt him!. Ugh. Here he goes again.
Drake- 'I miss you beautiful'
His text always makes me smile, he makes me feel beautiful and special. Damn I gotta pee. When I walked back into the room SB was mad. I wonder what happened. But when I asked he brushed me off and walked out. Da fuck? Whatever I grabbed my phone and went upstairs. I texted him telling him to be safe then I got a call from Drake.
(No POV)
Drake - "What you doing tonight?"
Nicki - "Nothing actually, just planned on staying home"
Drake - "I won't let that happen on a Friday night, get dressed and come out with me. Be there in a hour"
He didn't even give her a chance to answer before he hung up. She couldn't get out of it now. She didn't know where they were going so she just threw on a black fitting dress and some heels. She wasn't ready in the hour of course. When she walked downstairs Drake was sitting on her couch. 'Wtf how did this nigga get in' she asked her self but just shook it off. Nicki finished putting on her makeup then she was ready to go.
30 minutes later they pulled up to the most popular strip club in Queens. "Vixen". Drake saw her reaction when they pulled up. "It will be fun trust me" he said helping her out the car as she rolled her eyes. "Could this night get any worse" she mumbled as they walked into the club then when she looked over to the bar she realized that it already has gotten worse and wasn't getting any better.

After The Storm

It's been a week since SB got released from the hospital. He really didn't have a choice but to go with Nicki. She wouldn't let him go anywhere else. He wouldn't speak when she talked to him, he wouldn't eat and he wouldn't sleep. Nicki didn't know what else to do. He didn't let her touch him because he was scared to have contact with anyone or thing. She begin to miss his touch so one day while he was asleep in the guest room she crawled into bed with him. She snuggled into his arms and fell asleep. When he woke up he felt her smooth skin against his. He felt safe because she felt familiar. He felt like hisself just from touching her. He felt his love for her again. He was no longer lost. He climbed out of bed and cooked breakfast. When it was done he went into the room and jumped on the bed. Nickis eyes opened real quick and she starred at him smiling real big at her. "Goodmorning, you slept to long, I started missing you! I made breakfast.." Nicki cut him off with a kiss. "Faree slow down!" She smiled "I'm glad to have you back, I'll never give up on you.....on us"
*2 weeks later*
Neither SB nor Nicki brought up anything about their fight that day. They never even showed any interest in eachother. They were just bestfriends nothing more and nothing less. Yeah they kissed from time to time but it didn't mean much. They loved eachother but they never brought up being together.
(Nickis POV)
Ever since the accident I've been scared to touch him. I'm just glad the bullets are out and his surgery went fine. He's my bestfriend and I love him. She smiled thinking about it. She looked over and SB was on his phone texting away. She never bought it up but she secretly had someone. I didn't want to tell SB because we never talked about seeing other people, but we never really talked about seeing eachother either. Ugh this is confusing. What he doesn't know won't hurt him.

Nicki picked up her phone and texted someone. When her phone vibrated SB looked up and noticed the big smile on her face as she read the text. This made him mad, it's been him and Nicki for a while now with nobody else, he liked having her to hisself. That's selfish but he didn't care. Sb figured she had someone she liked, he knew she wouldn't wait for him forever. He just wanted to be sure, so he waited for Nicki to get up so he could look and see who she was texting. He read through some of the messages, 'Who the fuck is Drake' he whispered to hisself before sitting the phone down and walking back to the couch before Nicki came back into the room.
(SB POV)
Can I really be mad? I mean she ain't my girl. She can do what she wants. Fuck it. I ain't gonna stress her. I got people who would wanna be with me. But damn she couldn't even tell me? Fuck that, bestfriends my ass.

SB had a bad temper and Nicki knew that when he was mad to stay away. But this time she didn't care. "Safaree what's wrong?" He didn't answer he just got up and walked past her. "Don't wait up cause I'm not coming back" and with that he slammed the door. "Fuck wrong with this nigga?" Nicki said to herself grabbing her phone and heading up to her room. It was a Friday night and since Nicki was obviously busy texting this Drake guy he could go have some fun too. He stopped at a red light and got a text from Nicki. 'Please be safe Faree, see you later' he rolled his eyes and pulled off.
About 30 minutes later he pulled up to the best strip club in Queens called Vixen. He had a couple drinks but still couldn't stop thinking of how hurt he was. He wanted to find Drake and kill him but if Nicki was happy he would leave her alone. He was deep into his thoughts when a girl a little younger than him walked up to the bar and ordered a drink.
